Sudden urge to blog
I've got this sudden urge to blog after reading kpopsecret's tumblr. I find it pretty entertaining to read what people confess. Right now, i'm going to write my kpop confession.Back in Nov 2009, one of my friends introduced Kpop to me. He showed me Super Junior's Sorry Sorry and SNSD Gee's MV. I was instantly in love with Super Junior. But, actually before knowing the WHOLE of Super Junior, i'm already a fan of Han Geng because i saw his MV for Zhang Li Yin's Timeless. But my love for him is short-lived because i eventually gave up on it and started liking back MandoPOP. But after Sorry Sorry, i started researching on Super Junior, getting to know each and every of the THIRTEEN members is crazy when some of them look alike to me. I wasn't that in love with SNSD to be honest, but my other best friend became a hardcore SONE after that. She is still a SONE. Well, i won't really say i'm a big fan of them, but i'm neutral on them. And Han Geng still reminds as my main bias in Super Junior but slowly Eunhyuk overtook him and there was a period when Eunhyuk was my phone's wallpaper. But, i started losing interest in him and liking Leeteuk and Yesung instead. I was really upset how Yesung wasn't getting as much airtime as the others. Leeteuk is no doubt a good MC and he is really good in talking and his cuteness is what make me fall in love with him up till now. Then i started knowing SHINee and i really feel embarrassed calling myself an ELF back then. Because i started neglecting Super Junior especially after the infamous lawsuit incident. I started hating, well not really hate, but very upset that i took a break from that group and moved on to SHINee. SHINee soon became my top priority. Onew was my very first bias followed by Jonghyun and Key just took over everything and he still is my bias. I was really damn hardcore with SHINee that i bought all their albums from scratch, i spend money on their unofficial and official merchandises. I researched all their members information, listened to all their songs, downloaded all their pictures, watched all of their variety show. To be honest, i've already finished watching all their variety shows. Can you imagine have at least 30gb of SHINee videos in your laptop. I even cried because of them. But recently, i started loving Super Junior again. And now, i'm proud to say that both of the groups are my top priority. I don't care if you call me selfish, but i really DON'T WANT SME to debut M1. I'm really afraid that Super Junior/SHINee will not be given as much attention ever again. Super Junior imo, will be taking a break when Leeteuk and Heechul goes to the army. They will only be able to be back in a team in the least 8 years later. By then, Leeteuk will be what, 37! SHINee will also go to the army sooner or later. I will rather SHINee go to the army as a group. Ok, 8 years, i don't even know if i'm still obsessed with KPOP. By then, i'm 26 years, i MAY have my family by then. But whatever it is, if i'm still a KPOP fan, i will still want to be the ELF and SHAWOL that i was when i'm young. Alright, back to KPOP, do you know that i deleted all my handphone's music playlist and replaced it with Korean songs. Sometimes, i really hate how people say that kpop is over-rated. Yes, i admit, some songs may be over-rated, but their are songs that are worth listening. Sometimes, i really want to say right into their face that the songs you are listening now is also over-rated. Now, i'll say the disadvantages of KPOP. Delusional (I hope i'm not) It may be due to the time spent on kpop, that sometimes i can be delusional. One moment i want my idol to date, another moment, i feel like crying because they are dating. But most of the time, i'm able to take it. Like the Jjong and SSK issue, i didn't cry, i NEARLY cry not because they are dating. BUT THE NUMBERS OF SHAWOLS who left their fancafe. Hypocrites! But overall, i'm still alright, at least, know those people who thinks that they are gay are proven wrong, because he's fucking straight. Obsessive fans One thing i really dislike is some of the obsessive fans who bashed other people when they are bias are filming a show with a female idol. Fuck it, it's not like you own them. Look at the mirror before you bashed her. It's not as though she wants it alright, it's a job that she got to do. Fanwars Fanwars start when this black sheep in the fanclub(eg, fanclub A) started spreading nasty comments on another groups. The fanclub B members read it and posted back nasty comments about the group in fanclub A. More and more people get involved it in and bad blood between the two of them will not be resolved easily. Sometimes, it will drag on for who knows how long. I know of at least two groups with on-going fanwar. I'm not going to state it. Comparison I also hate people comparing this group with that group. Hello, they are two different group doing different genre. Their dance are different, their concept are different so why compare! I also hate how people bashed that this group can sing and compare them with another group saying what, "this group can sing better," or "this group can dance better". Since when you are the judge?. Impact of KPOP Life Before KPOP, i'm either playing my PSP or watching lame dramas on the TV. But after knowing KPOP, every friday i'll make sure to be home on time to watch Music Bank. One thing good is that, i'm going out less so i have more money to spare. I'm thinking without KPOP, what am i doing now? I become more sociable, i'm able to make friends easily with people. Twitter became part of my life because i'm able to communicate with kpop fans. I don't need all of my friends to accept KPOP but the least they could do is not to badmouth about kpop. I don't need all of them to like kpop and they don't need to. I'm perfectly fine with them. I have friends who are not into KPOP so when we are out, we don't talk about KPOP because i respect them. So the conclusion is that i'm still a kpop fan, a hardcore elf and shawol. I like other groups as well. Who says ELF/SHAWOLS cannot like other groups? But i know that KPOP wave will not last forever. It's a fact sadly. But i'll spend the remaining times liking/supporting them. What a long and lengthy post. I also don't know what i'm typing seriously. I got this idea at 1AM and now it's 2AM. I spent an hour thinking of what to write and typing out the whole post. All thanks to KPOP secrets for giving me such inspiration to write this post.
