Orientation Camp - 14 April - 16 April + Enquiries
14 April 2010, Wednesday (Day 1)Woke up at 6.30am to bathe and changed, dry my hair and stuff then heads down to take the bus to Interchange to meetup with my coursemate. Seriously, i bought a big bag there and is super heavy. Reached school at 8.30am. Did nothing much, went through briefing and some rules and regulation, played ice-breaking game with our care person as well as 4 of our OL, Gwen, Serena, Shaun and Joshua. Ate lunch, blah blah blah, shall skip the middle. Then at night got nightwalk and each class have to go 3 stations to find clue about whose the murderer. First room, was alright, there's screaming and the 'ghosts' will sometimes hide at one corner to scare you, or just run past you out of a sudden or just follow you behind. Finished night walk then went back to lecture room for debrief, then they had supper at 11plus at night. Finished supper then the OL brought us to the sports hall where we spend our night at. Bathe only at 1am, by the time finished its around 2am. My hair don't dry so fast. So Peggy, Chuxuan, Lynette, Jeanette and me went outside to slack. We sat at the stadium the stairs there to slack. Chat and Glen came. Glen is a good dancer manzxzx! Then got people from the comm saw us and tell us to go back to sleep. I slept at 3am then woke up at around 7am with my arms, leg and back aching. The reason, i also don't know why. 15 April 2010, Thursday (Day 2) Today we had our wet games. Changed, brush teeth, packed our bags and head back to the lecture hall to settle down. Woah, our class is the smallest among the six classes. Then had our breakfast. The noodle is so oily that i don't have much appetite. Went back to lecture hall with Lynette, Jeanette and Shal. Cos, outside the weather very hot so went back in for the aircon. Around 10.30am, we set out to play our wet games. First station is where our class is split into two and we will compete against each other to climb up the slope on using our stomach then pour water on yourself to win. The weather is so freaking hot and the floor is so hot too! Then i play until my leg blue black i also don't know why sia. Then we proceeded to the second station where we have to play scissors paper stone to earn resources. Not 1 V 1 but the whole class Versus the game leader there. We have to build a tent to shelter the pouring water. but also no use, in the end also wet wet. LOL! Then third game we went to a very hot place called the tennis court! LOL! My OL Joshua is in charge of the game with another few OLs too, then we had to race and play scissors paper stone with another class. Then in the end, with the resources left, we will build water bomb and throw at the 'kings'(OLs). Finished the game and went to another place but i think we finish late or what so we didn't get to play, well its a good thing. Went back to lecture hall and changed to a set of clean clothes. We rehearse our cheers for the upcoming night performance. Around 3pm, we set off to the auditorium where all the IIT course will gather to show their performance. First its Dip in IT, which is my course la, we performed the cheer and as a whole group and did a tecktonik dance with lightsticks that are bought last minute. Its damn cool lor, the lights are off and we dance like crazy. HAHA! Then the night performance ends at 6 plus, went back lecture hall for debrief. I headed home after that on a cab cos my bag is so heavy. Then the taxi driver drive slowly plus the 35% surcharge. Woah, suck my blood manzxzx, reached my house and it cost me $9.70. Expensive manzxzx, but no choice la, Then the best thing is, i got locked out of my house and my handphone battery is totally flat. I lend phone from my neighbour and you know what! My father is home and he didn't hear the doorbell. Walaooo, next time shall buy a loud, sharp, piercing doorbell sia. LOL! Bathe, and had my dinner watching 'Your Hand In Mine'. Then surf the net and i slept damn early at 10.30pm cos seriously my enery level is close to 0 already. 16 April 2010, Friday (Day 3) It's my last day of the orientation camp. Woke up at 7.30am and i'm supposed to meet lynette and co at the Interchange at 8.30am, i already went to the bus stop at 8.15am, then the buses are nowhere in sight, so in the end, i took 28 to safra and took 23a(bus that terminates at TP) to the bus stop and waited for jeanette, chuxuan and shal. Lynette overslept and she reach only at 10am. Roughly that time la. Head to lecture hall to hear some talk before proceeding to the lab to meet our CP. Took or matric card and timetable. Quite slack la for a year 1 freshie. Earliest end school at 3pm, latest by 6pm. Reached school earliest 9am, latest 11am. Then every friday for this whole sem no school for us! Woots! Gonna chiong my driving every friday manzxzx. Then took class photo with our CP and our OL before heading back to the lecture hall where we will proceed to stadium to watch the olympiad competition against other school like design, HSS, Applied sci, engine and biz school. It was so hot there and we cheered as loud as we can. Then around 3pm, we walked to bedok reservior to watch the regetta where we got dragonboat races. Well, Biz is the overall winner. Went back to lecture hall after that, the LT head, OL and us have a heart to heart talk. Anyway, i really wanna thank the LT heads, programmers, OL and other people who made this camp possible for us freshie. I wanna thank my OLs, Gwen, Serena, Joshua, Shaun/Shauna for taking care of C252 for this three days. I-I-T-S-C-T-P-R-O-C-K-S! & i found realised that one OL, adam, he had the same birthday as me and same year somemore. What a coincidence. LOL! Then took bus home with daphne. Reached home at 9.15pm.
